Fashion, like advertising photography, is often different to the usual portrait and lifestyle shot. The photographs need immediate impact and are often about selling a product or idea.
A lot of the time they seem to lack the emotion that you associate with other types of photography, this is a deliberate act to achieve the impact that clients so often want – it doesn't mean that they are not nice to look at though!.
